Welcome to Kohsinzuka
Old houses are full of gaps and are cool in the summer, but cannot protect against the cold in the winter.
Due to rising heating costs, we are unable to provide a comfortable stay for our customers, so we will be closed for the winter from late December to early March.
We apologize for not being able to accommodate you, but thank you for your understanding.
Reservations will be accepted even during business closures.
Please be aware that reservations made more than six months in advance will be provisional reservations, as we are a 72-year-old couple who suffer from back and leg pain.
Kohsinzuka Inn is a 100 years or more-old house located in Ohtsumago, a bit
away from Tsumagojuku.
It is surrounded by Nakasendo an old trail and a mountain stream.
Traditional charcoal-burnt “Irori” hearth is loved by lots of visitors.
You will fully enjoy the night of stay by dining and talking each other
with guests by the side of warm “Irori”.
Please have an enjoyable time in this remote countryside.

However, we will lend you a towel if you ask.
Parking : About 5 cars can be accommodated.
The kitchen, bath, wash basin and toilet were renovated in 2003.
Dining
We serve home-made dishes made of homegrown and seasonal mountain vegetables and river fishes.
“Goheimochi” rice cakes are unique and popular among even the first time visitors. Local chestnuts give a special flavor to its excellent taste.
